Ballasted ladders not only provide access from roof to roof, it provides a safe gateway when entering the ladder location with a guardrail system integrated into the ladder. This provides clear access through the control zone area providing one more level of safety for maintenance personnel.
Further to this, the ballasted ladder is not connected to the building allowing you to relocate the ladder with out damage to the building and to find the best walking path when travelling from roof to roof.
RoofStep Ballasted Ladders:
RoofStep is a unique and innovative rooftop guardrail system which enables you to safely move over rooftop elevation changes including parapet walls. These fall prevention systems come in several different styles of kits and are designed to have the engineered ladders on the face and back of the parapet walls and a platform over the parapet area in order to help protect the sensitive roof membrane or coping material from damage.
In order to ensure that these fall safety systems will be able to properly protect and service your rooftop no matter the parapet or obstacles that may be present on them, we have designed two distinct lines of RoofStep.

• Crossover series used when going to/from the same level or if the parapet wall between the roof levels is above 42″ in height
• System provides an 457 mm wider x 915 mm long
